Snow poles are usually installed in autumn before the winter season begins, when the road edges are still unfrozen and easy to identify. The most important thing in installation is correct placement: the poles mark the road edges and guide ploughing safely even in darkness and snowfall.

You can order snow poles either loose for self-installation or choose a complete service in which Tievahti handles the installation from start to finish – we measure the road sections and plan the placement of the poles so that visibility and ploughing lines are optimal. This ensures that the poles guide the ploughing equipment precisely without disturbing other traffic or the use of the equipment.

Culvert pipes

Has your road culvert become blocked or failed? Correctly sized and positioned culvert pipes keep the road in good condition. A durable, lightweight culvert pipe is designed to withstand pressure and changing weather conditions.

A culvert's performance is decided before installation. The right pipe size, determining the flow direction and a suitable installation depth ensure that water flows freely and the road stays dry even in heavy rain. Measurements and planning help avoid common problems such as water backing up or the road edge collapsing.

During installation the pipe is carefully supported on a compacted aggregate bed and covered in layers so that the structure holds up even under heavy vehicles. The culvert pipes used are lightweight, weather-resistant and designed for long-term use in Finnish conditions.
